New Holland recently launched their IntelliSense™ Sprayer Automation, touting it as the most versatile and productive sense and act technology on the market. I caught up with New Holland’s director of precision technology Paul Welbig to find out how this system stacks up to other sprayer automation options on the market.

Welbig… “ It offers full season capabilities because it offers two modes of operation. There's the live VRA component, which is the ability to do variable rate applications on the fly. And we're talking about a whole boom system, but you can do variable rate herbicides, variable rate nitrogen, variable rate plant growth regulators, harvest aids, fungicides, and all those types of things. Then there's the selective spray mode, which is a separate mode. But that's what allows you to do the targeted spraying, the spot spraying. And so that's an additional layer of capabilities. And so throughout a growing season, you actually have the ability to stack all of those applications together to really provide a full season return on investment that you might not see in other systems.”

Welbig says this system works across a lot of different crops.
