Dr. Marisa Zansler, director of economic and market research with the Florida Department of Citrus, says following some terrible hurricane events and subsequent supply issues, processors are currently getting a lot of their oranges from Brazil and Mexico.
Zansler says Valencia oranges, which California has, are among the most sought-after varieties in the juice market and could be very profitable.
