Farmers understand the importance of having reliable, high-tech equipment, but for many mid-sized equipment manufacturers, accessing the latest technology can be a challenge. Colin Hurd says that’s why he developed Mach. He says, by giving smaller OEMs support and resources to technology, more producers can benefit from advanced solutions.

Hurd… “ That was kind of our thesis with Mach, is that the midsize OEM, some of them can be pretty significantly sized, but they don't have a great way to get access to this technology today. And so they know that there's a need. Their customers are asking for it, but they don't have a team of AI and machine vision engineers on staff, right? These are companies that are, you know, potentially in the middle of the heartland and rural areas with limited manufacturing footprints and they have to focus on day in and day out as getting the right people in the factory to actually help build the equipment that they are making. And so that's where we really, I think, provide a lot of unique value is that we were this truly independent partner for short-line OEMs or midsize OEMs. And not only can we take on some of the engineering burden in terms of how do you integrate this technology onto their equipment, but we also then can supply them a full solution that they can then take, integrate onto the machine and take it to market.”
