Ready to Be a More Engaged Agricultural Leader?
Applications are now being accepted for Class 55 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program , an intensive, 17 month leadership development experience designed for mid career growers, farmers, ranchers, horticulturalists, foresters, and other professionals in California’s diverse agriculture industry.Operated by the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF), this premier program has trained over 1,400 influential leaders who now actively volunteer in agriculture, communities, government, and business sectors. Fellows participate in approximately 55 days of formal activities featuring a comprehensive curriculum delivered by top educators and subject experts from partner universities. Topics covered include leadership theory, effective communication, motivation, critical thinking, change management, and emotional intelligence, along with individualized coaching and discussions addressing complex social and cultural issues. The program further enriches learning through national and international travel seminars that explore interconnected systems, policy dialogue, and cultural dynamics.
