Erin Duran, a source technical agronomist at Sound Agriculture, discusses new company developments and explains how they are designed to help growers enhance their sustainability practices and improve overall crop performance.

“Sound Agriculture - right now, we're offering two products called Source and Blueprint Sources. Our pilot product, we've been out in the market space for a few years now, but our biggest goal at this company is to really help in the sustainability space and help growers be more efficient with the nutrients they're using on their farm without sacrificing yield. And that's really what this combo of products is doing for these guys.”

When soil is disturbed or synthetic fertilizers are applied, Duran says that essential microorganisms are often harmed. However, with the introduction of these two new products from sound agriculture, growers now have the ability to create an environment where microbes can thrive, promoting healthier and more sustainable soil.

“Source activates your natural microbes living in the soil, and these microbes, we know they're the powerhouse in the soil that really brings nutrients that are plant available and gets them into that plant. So source, one activates those microbes in your soil, and two, really increases AMF colonization on that root zone.”
