As mentioned yesterday, Gradable is a supply chain management company. Today, we conclude a two-part series featuring newly appointed Gradable CEO, Steve Lorenz as he discusses the platform and the opportunities it offers farmers to integrate sustainability initiatives into their operations.

“Grown to facilitate about $30 million in annual sustainability premiums today with about 20,000 growers on the platform, and that represents growers who do participate in sustainability programs or just use the grain selling software side of the business. Lorenz says that they are working hard to help growers access as much of a premium market as they can. We really felt that you know, the platform had gotten to the size of scale where to grow even more, to be the platform of record for the industry, needed to be a standalone business. So that's when we looked at spinning it out. We also, at the time, had had a very good partnership with ADM, who believed very firmly that gradable could be the industry standard platform, but needed to be on a more independent footing. And so they came in as part owners. And I think really believe that we're trying to be able to change the way that grain is bought and sold in North America and beyond.”

Gradable is a Farmer's Business Network spin off business.
