Another BLM Lawsuit
It seems like lawsuits are the order of the day for radical environmentalists. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be right back to tell you about another nuisance lawsuit.
The Bureau of Land Management just published their new final grazing regulations on July 12 of this year. Well you'll never guess what happened the Western Watersheds Project immediately filed a lawsuit to block the regulations. Oh yeah it's the same Western Watersheds project run by our old buddy, Jon Marvel. I'm sure what bothers Marvel and his cohorts is the fact the grazing regulations were going to continue of all things, livestock grazing on BLM ground. To the defense of BLM's regulations, the Public Lands Council will enter the court arena to argue against the lawsuits filed by those out-of-touch environmental groups. The PLC represents the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, The American Sheep Industry and the Association of National Grasslands. The new regulations will help stabilize the future for ranchers leasing BLM ground. This will benefit conservation of resources by the implementation of long-range improvements and stewardship that will benefit the land, wildlife, and even communities of the West that are dependant on the livestock grazing industry. These so-called environmentalists just can't seem to figure out grazing lands were meant to be grazed. It has been shown many times a greater biodiversity occurs on land grazed by livestock. I'm Jeff Keane.
