From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. Pasco was the location November 14-15-16 where farmers, ranchers and others from the Ag Community gathered for the Washington Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting.

President, Rosella Moseby says the Washington Farm Bureau and its annual meeting are intended to allow everyone in agriculture to get involved and be a part of the process …

MOSEBY … “We’re an organization that represents all sectors of agriculture. And so, having that collective voice that comes from the beautiful variety of commodities that we have, and we’re lucky to have such diverse group of commodities, is so important to the future.”

This next year, Moseby says, is going to be a very important time for all of agriculture to be heard …

MOSEBY … “And you know, we’re looking at a, we’re looking at a very important election cycle. It would be very nice if our governor, future governor had agriculture in his top ten priorities. Voting costs you nothing, but yet not voting can cost you everything.”

But despite all of the challenges, Moseby says she’s optimistic …

MOSEBY … “I think the future is bright for Washington Farm Bureau members. We’re working hard. We want people to be involved. We want people exercise their voice so we can better represent them.”

Moseby says Farm Bureau is a great resource for the ag sector to come together, use their voices and have good representation.
