Cattle Follow Cash
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Cattle futures holding steady following the Cash market as buyers remain aggressive despite higher feed. Let’s go to Viriginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 7 ¾, to finish at 6-36 ¾. Dec. Corn was Dn 7 ¾, to finish the day at 5-06. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Dn 13 ¾, to settle at 8-15 ¼.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Up 15 – 05, ranging from 7-00 to 7-65. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Up 15 – 05, ranging from 7-00 to 7-15. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 13 ¾, ranging from 8-45 ¼ to 8-65 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 6, ranging from 9-28 ¼ to 9-38 ¼.
Live Cattle for Oct. was Dn $.37 ½, closing at 182.25. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $2.60, to finish the day at 249.25. Aug. Class III milk was Up $.22, to settle at 15.31.
