This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. The Beef Market finished the week with a rally, despite historical downturns during this timeframe. Let’s go to Oliver Sloup with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Up 21 ¾, to finish at 6-61 ½. Dec. Corn was Up 13 ¼, to finish the day at 5-13 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Up 23, to settle at 8-29.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Up 20, ranging from 6-85 to 7-60. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Unch, ranging from 6-85 to 7-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Up 23, ranging from 8-59 to 8-79. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Up 22 ½, ranging from 9-34 ¼ to 9-44 ¼.

Live Cattle for Oct. was Up $2.52 ½, closing at 182.62 ½. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $1.65, to finish the day at 246.65. Aug. Class III milk was Dn $.25, to settle at 15.09.
