I recently experienced the frustration of a delayed flight so the story about a discourteous passenger in the pages of the High Country News caught my attention. Seems this rude fellow would not curtail his cell phone conversation on the runway prior to take off, despite numerous requests from flight attendants and disgruntled passengers. It is sad state of affairs when "disgruntled "passengers didn't do anything but grunt. Where is a cowboy when you need em? a real man would have made the sure the phone was anywhere& but his ear! At last resort, before taxing back to the gate, an attendant stood over the man firmly stating that there would be a count to three, he finally complied with regulations and hung up. As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle but curiously not by national media the rude passenger was non other than Jerry Brown the Democratic candidate for state attorney general and Oakland's esteemed mayor. Now, The staff at environmental paper High Country news thinks Mr. Browns behavior might have cost him more than one vote, oh he's a lucky man, no telling what it would have cost him had the plane been filled with cowboys itch in to make the next rodeo
