On Feed Report

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. A neutral “On Feed” report has the cattle market on edge, as traders consolidate as the week kicks off. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day Dn 9 ¾, to finish at 7-00 ¾. May Corn was Dn 1 ¼, to finish the day at 6-33. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Dn 6, to settle at 8-29 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Dn 10, ranging from 7-85 to 8-40. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for May were Unch – Dn 10, ranging from 7-60 to 7-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for May were Dn 6, ranging from 9-69 ¾ to 9-94 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were Dn 9 ¼ ranging from 9-36 ½ to 9-41 ½.

Live Cattle for June were Dn $.87 ½, closing at 155.52 ½. May Feeder Cattle were Dn $.80, to finish the day at 199.15. March Class III milk was Dn $.02, to settle at 18.05.
