Potato Expo 2023 Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. As we told you a couple of weeks ago, the 2023 Potato Expo is right around the corner, coming up January 4-5 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, Colorado.
National Potato Council president, Kam Quarles says they’re expecting the 2023 Potato Expo to be the biggest and best yet …
QUARLES … “All indications are that the industry is going to be there, full blast and we’re just really excited to be able to get back to how energetic and exciting Potato Expo can be. You get the entire North American potato industry under one roof.”
Vice President Hollee Alexander says some of the highlights for this next Potato Expo will be happy hours and other celebrations, as well as some very special visitors …
ALEXANDER … “We also have some Food Network celebrities who asked us, chuckle, or declared that they would like to be a part of the Potato Expo this year. So, that all came about at the end of last year’s show when they started Tweeting with Simon Majumdar, who had been there last year, and they said Duff Goldman, from Charm City Cakes, and Ted Allen, from Chopped, both said, hey, we want to be at the Potato Expo.”
The Food Network stars will participate in the ‘This Spuds for You’ cook off, ‘celebrity chef edition’ on Thursday, the 5th, at noon.
