For California AG today, I'm Mike Stephens. AB 1346 California's ban on small engines is being looked at from many different angles. Ryan Jacobson, CEO of the Fresno County Farm Bureau, discusses the need for different technology from battery power to other alternatives.

And that's what I think we're trying to figure out at this point. We know the technology is going to get better over the course of the next couple of years, but it's uncertain how much better this law was passed with the assumption that there's going to be something as a alternative in place by 2028, with a lot of uncertainties on how we're going to get there. So that's our concern at this point and watch it and see how it goes. But I should also mention, you know, there is the lawn and garden care. I mean, that obviously has, you know, an indirect connection to California's horticulture industry, and we're paying attention to it as well. I think there's a, you know, this one really did start to pick up momentum towards the end of the legislative session. And it was, you know, I think I think there's just a lot of figuring out how it's how these full effects are the full ramifications of what it's going to do for farming industry here in California. The same could be said about probably, you know, half dozen to a dozen other types of scenarios that half dozen to a dozen technologies. That may be possible then, but it's hard to see that you know which ones are going to be the most viable for a majority of farm operations out there.
