In the business of marketing a product , sometimes the advertising campaigns can actually tarnish the image of the product they are trying to promote. We saw this a few years ago when the Apple Guy' failed miserably at his attempt to peddle Washington State Apples embarrassing many growers in his wake. Now it is happening again, in a new television commercial for Burger King that I feel is damaging to the excellent reputation of Angus Beef. If I raised Angus cattle I would be mortified to have one of the most successful branded beef organizations promoted by a Cheesy dated disco dude, Dr. Angus. Not only does the word cheesy used in context with Certified Angus Beef create a negative connotation, the angus beef burger is barely seen , unappetizingly covered up by a couple slabs of greasy bacon. Unfortunately, Dr. Angus alone is greasy enough for me. Again there is no logical reason to associate anything "cheesy" with quality Angus beef. I hope Angus Beef growers unite and get this spot pulled I'm Susan Allen and this is Food Forethought .
