Ag Chief Says Department is Ready to Respond to Coronavirus

Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg says her team is studying possible impacts of the novel Coronavirus on state producers and making preparations to respond.

Greenberg delivered her message to a meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

Greenberg: We’ve initiated our Emergency Response Team as well as our COOP Team our Continuity of Operations Planning Team which includes all of our department leadership. We’ve been in operation for a number of weeks now identifying our gaps, doing supply chain assessment throughout all of our divisions. We are doing a number of exercises to plan to work from home. Our flex time policy has been in place since last August.
