Beefmobile The Beefmobile hits the road again in 2006. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be right back to tell you a little about the Beefmobile. The Beefmobile is a program and a vehicle. The vehicle is a van about the size of a 15-passenger model. With grilled steak and Beef Checkoff logo designs, it will be pretty easy to identify coming down the road. The van is driven by "Wranglers" that communicate the information of the Beef mobile program designed to educate, provide information to and solicit input from producers about the Beef Checkoff Program. Second year Wrangler, Tracy Orsburn, traveled more than 60,000 miles last year. The Beefmobile visited nearly 100 places in 2005 including all the Northwest states except Washington. With the addition of another van and two new Wranglers the program plans about 200 stops this year. Stacey Loutzenhiser of Flagler, Colorado and Holly Branecky from Boerne, Texas joins the team this year. The one-on-one approach has helped many producers better understand the Beef Checkoff Program. In turn, a daily report sent back to the Beef Board records all producer comments about the Checkoff. The Beefmobile team will visit major producer meetings, livestock auctions, grocery stores, food festivals and selected schools to provide interested educators with free beef industry teaching materials. To learn more about the Beefmobile go to www.beefmobile.com. That's so easy even I was able to find it. I'm Jeff Keane.
