I’m Bob Larson. If grizzly bears in the North Cascades concerns you, don’t forget Monday night’s meeting to let the Department of Interior know how you feel.

That’s Monday night at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Agriplex at 5 o’clock.

U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse …

NEWHOUSE … “This is a tremendously important meeting and I’m delighted the Department of Interior is seeing necessary to listen to my pleas, to have this opportunity so that they can collect public input on an issue so important.”

Newhouse says Monday’s meeting is your time to shine …

NEWHOUSE … “I think, no matter what it is, if the government is going to take action that’s going to impact people such as an introduction of grizzly bears, they absolutely need to get the opinion of the people that this is going to effect the most.”

Newhouse says if you can be there, by all means please go …

NEWHOUSE … “My concern was that they were just going to move forward without properly allowing people to voice their opinions. So, this meeting is our opportunity, the people in Okanogan, North Central Washington to come forward and make your opinions known. Let the agency understand where you fall, whether you’re for or against.”

Newhouse wants as many people as possible to show up and fill the Agriplex Monday night and let them know how you feel about grizzly bears in your backyard.

Listen Monday for more.

The meeting is Monday night, October 7th at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Agriplex, 175 Rodeo Trail Road, Okanogan, Washington. Doors open at 5:00 PM PST.
