With today's Fruit Grower Report, I'm Bob Larson. Not to be confused with "Washington Wine Month" which is August, wine lovers also look forward to "Taste Washington Wine Month" which is right now in March!

Washington State Wine's Heather Bradshaw says this is the festival's 22nd year and it's bigger and better than ever...

BRADSHAW ... "Happy "Taste Washington Wine Month." So, this March Washington State Wine is running a new campaign to encouraging people to taste Washington wines. We have more than 500 wineries, restaurants, hotels and retailers jumping on board to do special events and promotions all month long."

Bradshaw says the celebration is a great way to promote our fantastic wine industry...

BRADSHAW ... "Washington State Wine is also going to do a large advertising campaign to generate a lot of impressions and a lot of energy around Washington wine for the month of March. And, we have a calendar on the Taste Washington Wine Month website that features all of the promotions that are going on throughout the month including winemaker dinners, discounts at local wineries and restaurants, special tasting events and more."

She says these events are open to all the wine lovers out there ...

BRADSHAW ... "Yes, please! Anyone and everyone should come and check out Taste Washington. It's really the best place to get an exposure to a wide variety of wineries, 235 wineries under one roof."
