Colorado has sent upwards of 500 young FFA members to the group's national Convention underway in Indianapolis.

18 year old Tel Hamilton of Dolores is the Colorado State Sentinal this year and spoke with Colorado AG Today from the convention. He says there are over 66-thousand FFA members from around the nation Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands sporting the iconic blue corduroy jacket .

"The call it the Sea of Blue with all the blue jackets walking down the street and everyone recognizes it and that's really cool. And then you have the opportunity whether you're from Colorado or any other state to meet kids from all over. So it's a huge networking opportunity. Especially for the older members starting to look into the career areas there are a lot of opportunities to meet with people in those fields and talk to them about possible internships or career opportunities."

This year, the theme of the convention and expo is Just One, National FFA President Breanna Holbert a student in California explained the theme saying, "FFA members know that every life moment, milestone, and journey starts with just one — just one step, just one conversation, just one action.
