If you have listened to this commentary for any length of time you know how utterly frustrated I am that the most powerful nation of the world can't figure out how to develop alternative fuel source. It is embarrassing that Brazil already has soy Biodiesel and humiliating that the fickle French putter around in little autos fueled by sugar beats and even wine grapes. Meanwhile, the country that has a surplus of commodities remains dependant on Middle Eastern oil. . In a move that is sure to rattle the PETA folks, grad students at the University of Arkansas say they can make Biodiesel from chicken fat.. Whether it makes economical sense remains to be seen but these students are touting the fact that chicken fat is better for the environment and lubricates machines. Why can virtually anything can be turned into biodiesel except our fuel pumps! Who cares if your car smells like French fries or fried chicken at this point , lets just get after it.
