Deep Green Resistance V. The State of Colorado
The Colorado Attorney General says Deep Green Resistance and its mem
bers do not have jurisdiction to sue the state in federal court and do not state a claim "upon which relief can be granted."
Will Falk attorney and a plaintiff in the case says they expected the state to request the suit be thrown out. But the granting of personhood to non persons is nothing new.
"And we are seeking recognition from the court that nature has inherent value , is essential to all of our lives and therefore should be granted personhood. "
The case — Colorado River Ecosystem/Deep Green Resistance v. the State of Colorado — is being heard by U.S. District Court Judge Nina Wang. A status conference is set for Nov. 14.
