Colorado State Hay Report
From the USDA office in Greely, here is Lindsay Burnet with last week's state hay report.Burnet: "In the NE CO areas, supreme quality alfalfa large squares trades were $150 delivered and supreme small squares of alfalfa trades were $260 or $7.50 per bale FOB for a small lot. Premium grass small square trades were at $265 or $8.50 per bale FOB for small lots. In the SE CO areas supreme quality small squares alfalfa traded at $175 to $200 FOB or $5 to $6.50 per bale. Premium small square grass traded at $180 FOB or 6.50 per bale. Good quality large squares of alfalfa were at $120. Premium grass hay in small squares were $227 or $6.50 per bale for retail. Large squares of premium grass traded at $227 for retail. Large squares of good quality triticale were at $90 FOB. In the San Luis Valley areas, supreme alfalfa small squares trades were at $150 FOB or $5 per bale. Supreme alfalfa large square trades were at $150 FOB, premium at $140 FOB, good at $130 FOB. In the SW CO areas, large squares of good quality alfalfa traded for $130 FOB. Premium small square trades of orchard grass were at $265 or $12 per bale.
