WAFLA has a new COO
George Zanatta was recently named WAFLA's new COO and says with growth comes new challenges ...
GEORGE ZANATTA ... "The company has grown tremendously due to the needs of labor, seasonal labor of the agricultural industry. And when a company grows very fast, there are certain things that you have to take care of, and the foundation, especially in your system and your operations and how you are doing your processes, so they can be strong enough so they can support your growth and we are planning for that."
Zanatta says he's taking on his new role with a sense of purpose ...
GEORGE ZANATTA ... "First look inward and ask our members, "what can WAFLA do for you? What are we doing right? What can we do better?" and get the feedback from everybody that we have served. And look at those points and make this association totally geared to serve our members. Of course, WAFLA has been doing a good about it, but growth creates certain issues and we want to prevent any issues in the future and make our services according to what our members require."
Zanatta comes to WAFLA after leaving his post as CEO of Atikinson Staffing, an Ag and Industrial labor contractor in Washington and Oregon.
Tune in tomorrow and hear George tell us about the new WAFLA training center that just opened in the Tri Cities.
