10/10/05 Fishing is murder

A week ago my beta fish was circling his bowl with apparent glee. How was I to know that September 24 was Fish Amnesty day. Fish Amnesty day was another outrageous antic from PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Their idea of celebrating was to position PETA patrons outside of grade schools and hand out comic books, (that weren't very funny) depicting fathers who fish, as murderers. According to the Center for Consumer freedom, a watch dog group that has dedicated considerable funds to expose the PETA propaganda, the most offensive part of PETA's campaign was the passage that read "Until your daddy learns not to kill, keep your doggies and kitties away from him". When , Wally the Beta heard about Sammy the famished steel head , he decided fish amnesty day was for the birds, and he opted instead for bowl remodel with red rocks.
