Weekly Cattle Update
This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Friday November 11th, 2016. Before we go into our markets today we would like to thank our Veterans who have served our country. This week we watched cattle hold steady with a lower demand, let's check in with Greg Sanders with USDA weekly cattle update.
MacGathey "National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday Nov. 9th, 2016, so far on Wed trading in Nebraska has been slow to moderate on moderate demand. Compared to last week the bulk of live sale sold $1-$2 lower at $1.03. No address sales for a market trend, thus far for Wed in the southern plains CO in the western corn belt trading has been inactive on very light demand not enough sales for a full market trend."
Chicago May Wheat prices closed yesterday dn 3 ¼, at 436 ¾. May corn ended the day up 2, at 358. Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March ended the day dn 1 ¾, ranging from 4-62 ¾ to 4-87 ¾. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for March were dn 1 ¾, ranging from 5-01 ½ to 5-16 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were dn 1 ¾, ranging from 6-19 ¾ to 6-37 ¾. April Live Cattle were up 57 ½ cents, at 105.37 ½. March Feeder cattle were up 67 ½ cents, at 117.20. Jan. class III milk was up 18 cents at 15-96.
