No Crash Markets Welcome Trump
This is Susan Allen with the Market Line Report infor Mat Rice who is covering an ag event in Kansas City for U.S. markets welcomed President-elect Donald Trump by avoiding the crash many had feared.. Here's Virginia McGatheyfrom the floor of the CME in Chicago to share more on the market.
McGathey:We did have a USDA Report and they said they raised the yield numbers for both corn and soy beans and put some pressure on those prices. I will say that if theses numbers are actually realized in the end they well be the highest on record that is also going to add some pressure on the market as we go forward.
Chicago May Wheat prices closed yesterday dn 7.5, at 448. May corn ended the day dn 13 at 371 Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March ended the day down 7 ½ ranging from 4.64-4.89 . Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for March were dn 7.1/4, ranging from 5-40 1/4 to 5-55.1 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March unchanged-dn 2 ranging from 6-21 1/2 to 6-39 1/2. December live cattle were up 87 cents at 103.6 ½ March Feeder cattle were up 12 cents at 116.5 3/4 Jan. class III milk was up 1 cent at 15.84
