This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Monday Nov. 7th. With the good comes the bad, ranchers all across the nation are going to the drawing board as future prices continue to dangle in the trenches. Let's go to Greg Sanders as he shares the weekly cattle review with the USDA.

Sanders "National Slaughter cattle review for Thursday Nov. 3rd, 2016. On Thursday trade was light, on light to moderate demand in the Texas Panhandle with moderate trade and demand in Kansas. Compared to last week in the Southern Plains live sales sold steady at $1.05 in Nebraska, trade and demand was moderate. Compared last week live sales sold steady to a dollar lower, $1.04 to $1.05 with dress sales mostly a dollar lower at $1.63."

Chicago May Wheat prices closed Friday up 1 ¾, at 446 ½. May corn ended the day up ¾, at 364. Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March ended the day 2 ¼, ranging from 4-72 to 4-97. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for March were up 1 ¼, ranging from 5-04 ¾ to 5-19 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were dn 9 ¼, ranging from 6-18 ¼ to 6-23 ¼. April Live Cattle were dn 75 cents, at 104.35. March Feeder cattle were dn 62 ½ cents, at 115.25. Jan. class III milk was up 2 cents at 15-91.
