Colorado Corn District Meetings
Several Colorado Corn Districts will be holding meetings next week. Farmers or anyone else who wants to hear more updates about the two organizations and issues impacting the issues impacting the industry should attend. CO Corn Communications Director Eric Brown provides further details.Brown: "Our District 3 Meeting which is Logan and Morgan Counties. We've got that one set for Wednesday, August 10th at 7 p.m. at the Plainsman Grill located at 17408 Colorado Hwy 14 — am sure that people in the area know what it is at but just in case. Dinner is on us and no RSVP is needed. It is just a time where the Colorado Corn staff come and talks about what the CO Corn Growers Assn and the CO Corn Administrative Committee have been up to. How we've ben investing their one penny per bushel and their Growers Association membership dues in the various projects we've got going on. Answer any questions from our members. Then at this one we will also have some folks from the National Ag Statistic Service coming and talking about the data they use in factor the payments to farmers for certain programs such as the Agricultural Risk Coverage County Option Program — or ARCCO."
He adds that same day the District 4 meeting will take place in Holyoke at noon at the Phillips County Event Center.
