It's that time of year where we should start seeing some steelhead showing up, so I thought I should reach out to josh mills to see what he has seen in the river system. Steelhead season is starting, just starting to roll here on the Columbia river. Like the nerds like myself we watch the damn counts pretty heavily, Bonneville is starting to pop every day getting between 1800 and 2000 fish, and we are just waiting on that really big surge somewhere in the 5,000 to 10,000 fish a day over Bonneville. As time progresses it will work it's way up with Columbia river system. At this time the Deschutes, Klickitat and some of those other lower rivers, probably the Hood are starting to fish.
