With Washington Ag Today I'm Susan Allen June 16-18 you are inviteded to explore one of the worlds most renowned grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, here's Executive Director of the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance , Duane Wollmuth, on their signature event.

Wollmuth: Celebrate Walla Walla Valley Wine is our signature wine event for the valley it happens each year in June. We focus on a different varietal either Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Syrah. We invite guest wine makers in from other leading wine regions, around the world. This year we have a gentlemen from Chile, A gentleman representing the Bordeaux varietal and another guest from Napa Valley. They will be on a Wine maker panel with three of our local wine makers to talk about their regions and their wineries and also get a chance to taste their wines.

There's actually a number of different sessions over the three days. Including the panel, we have a welcome kick off which is free but you do need to get a ticket for that, I know there is a limited number left and then we have wine receptions and dinners as well over the three days.

And there are few tickets to the dinners and the panels left as well

Yesterday I told you about the new farm to school movement in Wenatchee well today I am happy to announce there is a new National Farm to Table Alliance, a collection of organizations interested in sustainable, local, farm fresh seasonal products. The Alliance supports the exchange between Practitioners, Policy Makers and Consumers, while promoting food safety. "Alliance members will kick off this year's Farm To Table Experience this year at an event on August 18-20th in New Orleans. The event is open to the public, and will feature hands-on learning and demonstrations by award winning chefs.
