Scholarship Opportunity For Students Rooted in Ag
Syngenta invites eligible university students to apply to its annual Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship program. Syngenta Senior Communications Manager Mary DeMers shares more detailsDeMers: “What we have here is a national essay contest. What the students are required to do is write an essay of 750 to 1,000 words and tell us about a person who inspired you to be rooted in agriculture and how their influence motivated you to pursue a degree and ultimately a career in agriculture. Then how will you pay it forward and encourage others to be rooted in agriculture.”
DeMers continues with more information about this scholarship.
DeMers: “We’ll have eight regional winners. There will be two categories — those pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and then a Master’s degree. Then there are four regions. So there will be a total of eight regional winners who will then go on for the national finalists. We will have two national finalists — one undergrad and one grad. The application is open right now. They can find it on our website — syngenta-us.com/scholarships. The deadline is get the essay submitted is May 26th.”
The regional winners will receive $1,000 and two national finalists will receive $6,000 each.
