The Buzz about Caffeine Don't you just love news about food! I mean come-on, one week we are told caffeine causes cancer and I am desperately trying to cut down my cups then in the next news flash I hear it's filled with antioxidants. So what is the true scoop? Depends on who you listen to and what week it is. That is why I am constantly urging all you to be savvy news consumers especially when it comes to the health your family. The latest buzz about caffeine comes to us via the "latest' darling of the interview circuit, a chem. professor named Joe A. Vinson at the University of Scranton, in Pennsylvania. Apparently Joe found that the average adult consumed over twelve hundred milligrams of antioxidants each day from coffee and the average adult American supposedly drinks 1.64 cups of coffee each day. About all I have been able to discern this new antioxidant buzz about coffee is that my consumption is way beyond average, now maybe that's not such a bad thing.
