The Push to Buy your Harry Potter in Canada

Buy Canada If you have listened to this program for any length of time you are aware that I am pretty transparent about how I feel about this country. Given my "support America with you wallet mentality" it's obvious that I would find the US National Wildlife Federation and Greenpeace's Buy-Canada campaign more than a wee bit offensive. The two groups have combined for a marketing blitz surrounding the release of newest Harry Potter Book In their campaign called "Save Muggle Forests" they are working to stop consumers from buying US printed Harry Potter books in favor of a Canadian publisher who purportedly uses only 100 percent recycled paper. A representative for Scholastic, the US publisher said they also use some recycled paper in their books but obviously it is not enough for these two groups who apparently don't "give a lick' about the variety of businesses that could be affected from loss of U.S. sales. Hum&. makes me wonder what percentage of recyclable products I would find in the offices, lunchrooms and restrooms of both US National Wildlife Federation and Greenpeace. Do ya think 100 percent?
