Welcome to Vine to wine, this is your host Linda Moran and on today's program we are answering questions from the email. Recently a listener wrote to ask "I know you talk a lot about trying new wines but I just like one wine. Is that really so bad?"
So you only like one kind of wine and that is all you drink, or want to drink, and you are asking me if that is okay? Why do you care what I think? Unless of course, there is some little voice in your head that is asking you if you might be missing something? Obviously, you have found the perfect wine for you, and you have made up your mind that it is the one that you like. So who am I to argue with you? I am just happy to hear that you are drinking wine. But, for myself, I cannot imagine picking just one wine to drink all of the time. To me it would be like going to a beautiful buffet and only eating celery sticks. You see a lot of what wine is about is the conviviality that goes along with a different wine for each different mood or personal preference. I get tired of the same thing all of the time while others may find that same old thing comforting and reassuring. So drink that wine that you enjoy because your mouth is the only mouth drinking your wine. I'm here for those of you who are still looking for new wines and ways to enjoy them. I'm still here for those of you who are willing to expand your palate and take that scary step into the unknown by trying something new. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thank you for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
