AGGRAND® Fertilized Tomato Plants Produce 10 Percent Greater Yields in Ag Research Study. I don't normally get too wound up when I see the press release from some chemical company advertising whatever their advertising. But I heard about a study that showed AGGRAND fertilized tomato plants yielded 10 percent more, by weight, of marketable tomatoes than untreated plots of tomato plants. Continued use of the product increases bacterial activity in the soil, leading to stronger, healthier plants.   I called soil scientist Walt Sandbeck. "It is a liquid concentrate derived from all natural ingredients. It can be used in drip or overhead irrigation. It is a bioactive product. It activates the soil microbiology. Like any natural product releases existing nutrients in the soil and is able to make use of organic material in the soil and create better nutrient release for plants. In our case it is a liquid fish and seaweed, sulfate and potash and other ingredients that activate the soil biology. The microbes in the soil feed on it, as they feed on it they release those nutrients so it gets fixed in the soil by the soil biology. That's what helps make an active soil by unlocking nutrients.
