Monday Finds Wheat Market Down

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for May 13, 2014.

From the floor of the CME Group Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Monday’s markets.Horwitz: “ Monday’s grain trade as we take a look — after Friday’s supply and demand big report I don’t think we saw a tremendous amount of action. The big picture is murky at best and certainly as we talked about selling corn around at the $5.20 level and wheat at the $7.30 level — I don’t think anything else has changed here. It looks to me like the planting season is going to be great. It looks to me that things are going to be rosy as far as the growers are concerned. It looks like there is going to be plenty of supply and not a big demand issue and as long as the weather holds I think that is the way we go it.”?Chicago July Wheat ended Monday down 7 and 1/2 cents at 7-15.
