Beef Industry Meetings Rapidly Approaching

Attention Pacific Northwest ranchers -- the Pacific Northwest's cattle industry conventions are rapidly approaching. With wolves, sage grouse, animal disease traceability and water as some of the important topics of interest, you'll join other cattlemen and women to learn more about what is happening in your state industry as well as regionally and nationally.

Washington Cattlemen's Association Executive Vice President Jack Field shares highlights of their convention at the Pasco Red Lion.

Field: "Every cattleman needs to be in Pasco November 14 and 15 to learn as much as they can. We going to have discussions on the Department of Ecology's non-point water quality inspection process as well as possible outcomes. Discussing a variety of issues that pertain to WSU's agricultural research and extension. A great market overview of what the future may hold -- crystal ball -- from CattleFax. And good discussion from the Department of Agriculture on animal disease traceability. And the Endangered Species Act from the Pacific Legal Foundation."

Field adds their Cattlemen's College kicks off the convention on November 13th.

All three conventions promise lots of issue updates, good speakers, networking opportunities and time to visit the TradeShow.

The Idaho Cattle Association's 100th annual Convention will be held at the Sun Valley Resort on November 11 through 13th. Their Cattlemen's College helps conclude the convention on the 11th.

Oregon cattlemen have a bit more time before the Oregon Cattlemen's Association meet. Their convention will be held at The Riverhouse in Bend on December 5 through the 7th. The Cattlemen's College kicks off the Convention on the 5th.
