6-26 SS Anthony Antelope
Antelope hunting with an expert.
Anothy Ocamica is a Sportsman’s Warehouse Associate working on the hunting side. And believe me, when it comes to hunting, Anthony knows his stuff. “The funnest thing for meis getting out in the desert. I like that more than the forests. Finding an antelope a long distance away and trying to put a good stalk on them, nice clean kill if you can, otherwise you’re not going to take the shot. Chasing down an antelope is quite fun just because of the fact that they are very difficult to get onto. If you are using a bow, you are definitely going to be in a blind at a waterhole, just because, in order to get that close, you have to be stationary and let them come to you. As far as rifle hunting, which is what I prefer, you spot them from a long way away, formulated tactic to put on a good sneak so that you can get close and get a good clean shot. That is the hard part. They have such great eyes on that flat prairie. Generally on the prairie, it is hard to get within range. That’s what I enjoy, getting close. Sometimes you get close enough and you realize that you don’t need to take the animal. As a Sportsman’s Warehouse associate and hunting advisor, which is what you really are, give me a tip about getting close. I would say find what ever cover that you can, or any terrain abnormalities such as a gully, or a ravine, or a line of trees or sagebrush. Something that you can use to conceal yourself from them.
