6-20 SS Lou CAN Hunt
He was the last one in his litter of six. All of the other puppies were gone and he was left behind for whatever reason and that’s how it started. That is Wade Kisner in a conversation a couple of months ago talking about his English Setter, Lou, who was given to him by a friend because no one else would take him. Lou got the last laugh with a huge award. “AKC Master Hunter title. Aside from all the whistles and bells that go along with that prize, can this dog hunt? He can. What put him where he is today is probably the large amount of hunting that he has actually done. I was in law enforcement for 32 years and I retired. I found myself having to spend time with the dog and to hunt. I actually was asked to guide and a hunt club and Highland Hideaway is where he was on a lot of birds in late 2009 and I do think being on that many birds over a period of that season progressed him to the point that he is today. Since this time we have gone to South Dakota every year on a trip that we do out there and he has been in Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois. He spent a lot of time in the field and that experience certainly shows. Is the Highland operation pheasant? Seventh and Chucker. If you go on the website, under the guides, you can actually see a picture of good old Lou and me.” That website is Highlandhunting.com
