 “He was the last one in his litter of 6.   The rest of the  puppies were gone and he was left behind.”  You are listening to Wade Kisner describe the early days with his English Setter Lou was  brought to him by a good friend. “He said I brought your dog over and I said what? I am not looking for a dog and I didn’t ask for a dog and he said you always wanted a dog and so here he is and then he pulled out a bag of dog food and gave it to me. So the story goes that Lou found me, I didn’t find him. I was a little bit stunned as my friend drove away down the road and I am left standing in my driveway with a 10 week old puppy and a wife  who wondered what are we going to do with two dogs. At the time we already had a Labrador. So I started doing a little bit of research on training and thought if I am going to have this guy, I better make sure he turns out to be a decent bird dog and that’s kind of how it all started.” It ended with Lou winning the AKC Master Hunter title 4-7-13
