3-27 IAN Ag Movie
Alert the media and strike up the band. Hollywood is actually doing a movie that is favorable to agriculture.
The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance is working in cooperation with James Moll - an Oscar winning and two-time Emmy winning filmmaker - to produce a feature-length documentary on the next generation of American farmers and ranchers. Moll chose this focus from the research he conducted on farming and ranching today and the issues facing farmers and ranchers. He discovered how the farming and ranching population today is aging. Moll says USFRA has been nothing but supportive on this project and has allowed him to make his own film in his own way. His goal is to represent farmers and ranchers from their own perspective and with their own voices. “ There are in fact quite a few people today who are going on higher education and then coming back to their farms and ranches and that was very interesting to me. Also the new technologies and methods in farming are things that I would like to explore. I decided to focus on 5 twenty somethings.”
Moll discovered how the farming and ranching population today is aging. By the way, he anticipates the film to be completed within the next year. For more information about the film - visit www dot Food Dialogues dot com
