 The Idaho Wheat Commission  is offering webinars.

 I talked with the Idaho Wheat Commission’s Tereasa Waterman last week and she says there are 2 important webinars coming up this week  specifically designed to address concerns of wheat producers: “ the wheat commission will be hosting to webinars, 1 on transportation of grain and another on what markets will be impacting Idaho wheat growers over the next decade.  Wednesday we are going to have Terry Whiteside  is chairman for the alliance for real competition  talking about a brief history of rail  development since the 1980s and he will be talking about what are on unreasonable rates and he will be doing an analysis on the current rate levels and will be taking questions from growers on any concerns that they see in their area on rail issues. The next webinar we will be doing his with Shawn Campbell. The Webinar will provide an overview of the Pacific Northwest’s export markets.  Factors impacting markets, which includes: freight rates, quality vs price and proximity to markets.  Campbell will also discuss the end of the Canadian Wheat Board and the emergence of a North American wheat market, impacting how grain is moved and how it could impact wheat prices.”

 The 1st webinar Wednesday the 13th and the 2nd is Friday the 15th. Both webinars are at 7:30 AM MST. There is a link at www.Idahowheat.org and they are free.
