2-5 IAN God Farmer
The most memorable part of the Super Bowl.
Who doesn’t love to watch the Super Bowl? The athleticism, the drama, the MVP, the ads. Whether it was the lights going out in the Super Dome, Michael Crabtree being held on the final play, the 2 brothers as coaches, the Ravens winning... by this time next year, it will all be a blur. It will all be relatively meaningless on the grand stage of life. But here is what I will remember. The dramatic and compelling, almost mesmerizing words of Paul Harvey as he powerfully and poetically talked about the American farmer. Not only will I remember... I will never forget the emotions that it aroused. “ and on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said I need a caretaker, so God made a farmer. God said I need somebody willing to get up before dawn milk cows, work all day in the fields, milk cows again, eat supper and then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the town school boards... so God made a farmer. At the end of that two minute speech, I was left with a memory and goosebumps. Oh, and one final thought from me, thank God that God made a farmer.
