Cooking beef with the help of a computer.       The other day Traci Bracco, Executive Director of the Idaho Beef Council told me about a very nifty little piece of technology that has been put together. I am going to talk a little bit about a new interactive, online program that has been developed that takes the confusion out of when you are standing at the meat counter at the grocery store and you are saying to yourself this steak is on sale but I am not familiar with it,  what do I do with it, our industry has solved the problem. A lot of us find the meat case very confusing because there are thousands of beef cuts available out there and a lot of people would like to cook these more often but they don’t know what to choose or how to  properly prepare it. There are actually how to cook videos, recipe suggestions for each of the different types of beef cuts, there are listings of all the nutritional information with calories, nutrients and a lot more. It takes all the guesswork out of preparing beef.
