04/12/05 NW Pilot Project ID symposium

American Rancher April 12, 2005 The realities of animal identification in the West will be the focus of a symposium scheduled for May 17th in Boise, Idaho. The Northwest Pilot Project is hosting the symposium and project coordinator Julie Morrison, says the event will feature presentations by world renowned ID experts and open forums to discuss critical issues. Morrison: "We feel like it's a great opportunity for folks to come to town because it's a comprehensive group that will be taking a hard look at the issues facing ID In the northwest and will use the results from our pilot project as basically the groundwork that will show how things are working. What is working. What isn't working, and what issues still need to be addressed." The animal ID symposium will be held at the Grove Hotel in Boise May 17th. Pre-registration is requested by May 6th. The Symposium will be free to pilot project participants and cooperating state agency officials. A nominal fee will be charged to others attending.
