Californians are going to vote on genetically modified organisms otherwise known as GMO.

 Californians always seem to be the 1st to set up questions about lifestyle whether it be gay marriage, legalizing marijuana, all kinds of rights for the downtrodden. When you listen to conservative radio, you often hear California referred to as the land of fruit and nuts. I’m certainly not to take a position on that issue however, this just breaking out of California: they look to be the 1st state to label foods that have been genetically modified. They have a proposition 37 which is going to put natural food businesses and activists against huge companies like Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Kellogg and so on. I guess the simplest way to put it is there are grave concerns on the part of the natural food people about the long-term health effects of consuming genetically modified foods. If you are interested in one perspective, let me introduce Gov. Butch Otter of Idaho:  “we can now produce so many more products, so much higher-quality, so much healthier then we used to because we genetically modify them.”
