8-23 IAN Travis Wedding
One of the sweetest weddings ever… But I don’t want to get too syrupy.
A lot of us here in Idaho know the executive director of the Idaho grain producers Association, Travis Jones, and coming up very shortly our friend Travis will no longer be amongst the most eligible executive directors out there. I called him up the other day to discuss corn and caught him down at the County Clerk getting his marriage license With his fiancée. There’s a cute little story behind it which I will let Travis tell you. “I am getting married September 15 to a native of Woodstock, Vermont and her mom and stepfather run a maple syrup tree farm. In fact her dad is an the officer team for the Vermont Maple Syrup Association. Is that a lucrative business? It does not seem to be very lucrative, I think it is more of a love for the business, the process and the heritage and culture that comes with Vermont maple syrup. Take Into the trees around their house and there are many many trees and it all flows into what they called the sugar shack where they process and bottle their product. AND ONE OF THE MAIN GIFTS AT THE WEDDING IS GOING TO BE? THE MAIN PARTY FAVOR HAD OUR WEDDING ON SEPTEMBER 15 IS GOING TO BE 200 BOTTLES OF VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP. SWEET.
