8-22 IAN Kristin

Home town hero Kristin Armstrong enjoys a positive two-way relationship with Idaho’s dairy community. We have watched her cycling in Idaho for years and have applauded her efforts. She is an Olympian, a wife, a mother and a very strong role model for all of those she has touched. She has been sponsored by the dairy industry and has served as a spokesperson for them. Here isCheri Chase,Communications Director  for the Idaho Dairy Products Commission talking about the relationship with Kristin. “This is the 3rd time we have sponsored her in the past several years and when she decided to make another run at a gold medal in the 2012 Olympics, we were behind her and are so thrilled for her.  It is really about the fact that for us she is such an advocate for dairy and in particular for chocolate milk as a recovery beverage of choice. She is such a great role model and to have her put her faith in chocolate milk as a recovery beverage, is great for Idaho’s dairy industry and good for her for doing what she did and I think there are people who wondered whether or not she could get another gold medal and she got it in style so we are thrilled for her and for the dairy industry.” In these times when big-name athletes aren’t always what they appear, isn’t it refreshing to have somebody like Kristin in our community. Cheers, we got milk
