Dick Luminella is a good pal and is nuts about fishing. He recently took 3 friends to a huge privately owned pond to fish for trout. He’s one of the best storytellers I know.  “One of the pleasures that I do get out of fishing is taking other people and watching them catch fish. I took my friend Hugh Mossman and Pete and Janet Peterson up to the ponds to go fishing. Janet, Pete, and Hugh have all been there before without a lot of luck except for Janet who always catches fish and makes everybody mad but anyhow we all went up and I got them all rigged up with sink tip lines and  everybody hopped in their float boats and it’s a real simple process this time of year because there are no bugs on top so you just hang some kind of a leech pattern off the end of the sink tip line about 18 inches behind it drop a little Prince nymph or something and just sit there, drink a beer and kick your feet. As luck would have it, I caught nothing, Janet, she hasn’t gone 50 feet, and she hooks up and then there is Hugh. Hugh hooked up 4 times and he landed 3 of them. God love him. He caught the biggest rainbow that he’s ever caught, about 28 to 29 inches and had to weigh 7 pounds If it weighed an ounce. I’m hoping you were drinking beer that was a little higher caliber than Bud Light. It was a Grolsch ( laughter).
